Nature's Reflection Interior Plantscaping

ZZ Plant~
Not to be confused with ZZ Top!!! This dazzlingly different plant is oddly enough related to the Spathiphyllm, or peace lily. At Nature's Reflection Interior Plantscaping, we have used this plant regularly with great success!

The Latin name for it is Zamioculcas zamiifolia, or ZZ plant as we like to call it, has little to no insect issues. It is constantly amazes me when it comes to where it can live. It is in locations that are very highly lit and hot like sunrooms, to more subdued medical office waiting rooms.

The longer stems that reach out should be pruned back to help the plant keep its wonderful shape. It does flower, but I have yet to see one even in pictures on the internet.

Because this plant has tubers, like potatoes, it needs very little watering. Less is more for this plant. Even the fleshy leaves and stems will let you know, it likes soil that is well drained and prefers to be kept on the dryer side.

We at Nature's Reflection Interior Plantscaping, are always on the lookout for interesting and durable plants that can be used indoors with success. I would highly reccommend the ZZ plant to anyone looking for something new!
